About us
We are a husband and wife (Dino & Yiota) small family business based in Dunfermline, Scotland, UK. Dino has an IT background so he is responsible for anything that has to do with computers and printers and Yiota is the designer. We are both experienced stitchers and have been stitching for more than 20 years!
We have been designing and selling our own cross stitch designs since 2006. We do everything from printing patterns, winding threads and making advent calendars and subscription boxes. All our products are hand made with love by us. Images used on our products are licensed for commercial use. We pay license fees and give credit to our wonderful artists. We also sell some of our products on Etsy.

About our kits
We only sell counted cross stitch kits. All our kits are of top quality.
They include Madeira 6 stranded cotton threads. We wind all threads on 4 meter or 8 meter card bobbins.
Madeira is an excellent German quality, threads do not discolour or bleed onto fabric, they can be washed in washing machine at 60 Degrees Celsius or 140 Fahrenheit.
Madeira threads are so great that were used in the outline of the tree featured in the Anointing screen for the Coronation of King Charles III. This is also mentioned in the official website of The Royal Household.
We also use an outstanding quality of fabrics from Zweigart.

Fabric choice
14 count aida
Ideal for beginners. Most common cross stitch fabric. We have two types, one without the grids and one with the grids (they are both white in colour). 14 count aida has larger holes, so you might see some white fabric under the stitches, depending on how tight or loose your stitches are. Use 2 strands for stitching.
Benefits of gridded fabric:
- The fabric matches the 10x10 grid used for pattern
- There is no need to count higher than ten.
- Helps avoid misplaced stitches
- Easy to determine where you are on the pattern
- Faster and quicker stitching because less counting is needed
- The grids will dissapear when wash at 60 Celsius or 140 Fahrenheit.
16 count aida
Great dense coverage, my personal favourite fabric! We have one without, and one with the grids. 16 count aida has slightly smaller holes then 14 count aida but easy to see. It has a very nice dense coverage - white fabric can not be seen under stitches. Use 2 strands for stitching. The colour available is white.
18 count aida
Ideal for advanced stitchers. Great for large designs. 18 count aida has small holes but it has a great dense coverage. Some people stitch with 2 strands, others use 1 strand. Our kits provide thread allowance for 2 strands. We would not recommend 18 count aida if you have poor eyesight. The colour available is white.
25 count gridded evenweave
Ideal for advanced stitchers. Great for large designs. This fabric is for more advanced stitches (and good eyesight). The grids will dissapear when wash at 60 Celsius or 140 Fahrenheit. 25 count evenweave is ideal for large and advanced designs. It is worked over one. The colour available is off white.
28 count evenweave
Ideal for advanced stitchers. 28 count evenweave white. The difference is we do not count the squares, but the threads. It is worked "over two threads". The colour available is white.
Copyright and license
Nearly all our designs are licensed by a company called Art Licensing International, we also buy artwork professional licenses from Vectorstock and a few other independent artists. All our artwork licenses are non-exclusive.
Tip: If you see very cheap patterns on etsy, ebay and amazon without any credit given to the artist, it means the artwork is stolen and they sell illegal designs.
